IMPACT 8/30/12: ODB finally gets her fried chicken and beer

31 Aug

In the shortest match of the year, ODB makes her long awaited return to face Madison Rayne. So how did this match come about you may ask. First Madison Rayne comes out to tell Brooke Hogan that she wants her rematch, she calls out Miss Tessmacher but instead 1/2 of the Knockouts Tag Team Champions, ODB comes out and says Hogan told her that she is having a match. This leads to them having a match-up.

Not even lasting very long – not even a minute surprisingly – with ODB picks up the victory. At the beginning of the match Rayne starts to yell at ODB which makes ODB spit her drink into Madison’s face, gets some clotheslines in and hits a drop to pick up the win. While the ODB is celebrating some music we haven’t heard in a while hits, and out comes her husband E.Y. WITH the beer and friend chicken, that his wife has been asking for in the last few weeks. Eric Young gives a few cheap plugs about his new show, blah blah. ODB asks him where her husband went, which leads him to stripping off his suit and revealing a speedo with the USA flag on it. ODB jumps into her lovers arms and lays a big ‘ol kiss on him.

IMPACT 8/16/12: Meet the new Champion and the new Knockout!

20 Aug

Madison Rayne is backstage getting interviewed when a director, or whatevs, comes up to tell her that Brooke Hogan wants her to go to the ring. Rayne is super excited because she thinks it’s her championship win celebration party, and heads to the ring. Madison Rayne gets on the microphone and calls out her little ‘boy-toy’ referee, Earl Hebner, who is also all in smiles. They hug and here comes Brooke Hogan. She announces that Tessmacher is getting her rematch tonight and Earl Hebner isn’t going to be a surprise, and that there will be someone new for the match. The way Hogan put it made it seem like one of Madison’s old rivals were coming like Traci Brooks. But it was nothing like that, this one will be a complete shocker!

Both competitors are in the ring, toward the end of the show and Brooke Hogan makes the announcement and introduces the new Knockout referee. Hogan falls on stage, which made me laugh, as former WWE Diva, Taryn Terrell makes her way to the ring in the stripes.  The match is now underway with Terrell calling the match right down the middle even getting in some involvment with shoving Madison when she refused some-what to get off of Tess after her count was up. Miss Tessmacher is able to pick up the victory to become the NEW KNOCKOUTS CHAMPION. She has now held the title two times, and it impressing fans throughout every match she has, which is understandable why she has the title yet again. This is going to be a good feud between Madison Rayne and Tess, if they choose to continue this route, because I thoroughly enjoy their matches. Well, it looks as if the new Knockout, Taryn Terrell will be taking the position as Knockouts referee, Sorry Earl. #Not

Madison Rayne comments on title win

13 Aug

Madison Rayne has become Knockout’s champion for the fourth time following her victory over Miss Tessmacher at the PPV, Hardcore Justice. Rayne wrote about her recent accomplishment on her Twitter saying, “Wow!!! Endless amounts of support from y’all coming off my win at Hardcore Justice tonight! You love me, you REALLY love me 😉 XoXoXo!!!”

Hardcore Justice 2012: The queen Bee Rayne kills Tess’ streak

13 Aug

After hardly any buildup for their match at Hardcore Justice, Madison Rayne and Tessamacher are ready to kick some butt. With some pre buildup before the match, Madison Rayne has an interview with Jeremy Borash telling the Knockouts Champion that she doesn’t need to cheat to win because she became three time Knockouts champion and 2 time tag team champion without any help. She blows Earl Hebner a kiss, as he is not only her crush but the referee for this match-up.

A minute or so video package is shown about the highlights of Madison Rayne and Earl Hebners relationship – from houseshow clips to current clips. Leading to the Knockouts match happening next, as a overly excited Christy Hemme is shown and IT’S KNOCKOUTS TIME!

These two Divas didn’t really work that well in their first bout together on IMPACT but this match was heaps better. Both Knockouts had their time to shine in some back and forth action. At the end of the match is where the suspense began. Brooke… i mean Miss Tessmacher hit the elbow drop, which lead to Madison rolling over close to the ropes. Hebner started to count and sneaky little Madison put her foot on the rope. With everything going on in the past episodes of Impact, Tess thought he was cheating as Rayne took her foot of the rope before she could look. Actually he was telling the truth… sometimes it hurts. Surprisingly Mr. Ref didn’t have to cheat this time for Rayne to pick up the victory as she rolled up the Knockouts Champion while she was arguing with the ref to become the NEW KNOCKOUTS CHAMPION. She celebrates outside of the ring screaming “This is where it belongs!” at Tessmacher, who is sitting in the ring being upset.

IMPACT 8/9/12: We find Tessmacher, Rayne makes a “statement”

11 Aug

We FINALLY found the Knockouts Champion, Tessmacher… Sure she made an appearance last week but she wasn’t actually in action. This week she will be facing Gail Kim… so much for giving the match at the PPV some build up IMPACT. Pretty good match compared to the other matches these two have had together in the past. Tess is improving so much and so fast. At the beginning of the match, Gail Kim tries to attack Miss Tessmacher from behind but she saw it coming so it didn’t happen. This leads to some out of the ring action, which we only see in IMPACT with the females… this is what I love!

The Knockouts champion does a some-what bulldog to pick up the victory. Oh, by the way Earl Hebner is the referee for this match, you might want to know that for the upcoming segment. Well… Miss Killer Queen, Madison Rayne makes her way down the ramp and lays a big ol’ kiss on Hebner as Tessmacher looks on is disgust, as do we all watching at home, I couldn’t even imagine being that close. YUCK! Madison smiles and leaves the ring signaling that she is going to be the next champion. Oh, and I’m pretty sure that the commentators stated that Earl Hebner is also going to be the referee this Sunday for the PPV… Oh great. Goodbye Tess title reign, we’ll miss you.

Oh and thanks to Lee South, the photographer for IMPACT for finally giving us tons of Knockout digitals unlike usual.

IMPACT 8/2/12: Contender named for championship following controversy

5 Aug

Finally a Knockouts match that can determine a match that can involve the champion! Miss Tessmacher comes out for commentary. As announced in the preview the match is Tara vs Mickie James vs Madison Rayne vs Gail Kim. In case you’re wondering, yes Earl Hebner is sadly the referee (I was rooting for Tara too 😉 ) Well, all of the Knockouts get pretty much the same amount of time and the Knockouts go all out when Gail Kim suplexes Tara off the top rope, we won’t see that in “the other company”. Tara rolls Madison Rayne for the pin, and gets the three count although Hebner declares Rayne as the winner. After many replays, it is clear the Madison’s shoulders were BOTH down, but that doesn’t change the decision. Madison celebrates with the referee as Tara is upset in the ring, as we all would. Tessmacher, the Knockouts Champion, also was excited that Tara was winning, as she said many times during commentary that she would love to face her… dreams shattered. Either way, Tess will be ready to defend her gold.

Also during IMPACT, we were blessed with a backstage segment featuring the women of the match (before the match happend). Madison Rayne is backstage with Earl Hebner, who is holding a handful of gifts. Madison says she doesn’t want gifts, she wants his affection and that’s why she kissed him, although she takes the gifts anyway… okay. Thank goodness this segment is interrupted by Rayne’s bestie, Gail Kim! Gail is wondering what is going on. Rayne tells Kim that Earl is going to call the #1 contender match “right down the middle” because he’s a “professional”… like we actually believe that one bit. Tara and Mickie James are shown warming up for their match afterwards.

Madison Rayne is now #1 contender following controversy from Earl Hebner… but honestly at this upcoming PPV I really hope that the ending doesn’t turn out how it has been the last two weeks. It was fine the first week but now it’s getting annoying. The match for the title should be fair in my opinion but knowing TNA some odd pointless twist will happen.

IMPACT 7/26/12: Champion still missing but Knockouts tag match takes place

28 Jul

Has anybody seen the Knockouts Champion? She has been “missing” from IMPACT for about three weeks now. Looks as if TNA is taking the WWE approach at this moment… except their actually using their women’s wrestlers.

This week IMPACT graced us with a Knockouts tag team match where Tara decided to ditch Tess to team up with Miss “hardcore country” Mickie James as they took on Madison Rayne and Gail Kim. The match looks like it’s in Rayne and Kim’s favor at they very beginning as Earl Hebner,

Madison’s crush is the referee. Rayne and Gail take turns beating up Mickie James until she was able to make the tag. Tara and Mickie double team, Earl is not treating the Faces equally in this match, not a surprise though. The face team starts to double team on Madison and when Gail Kim tries to make the save, they put the submission on her. In a very confusing yet unique ending, Mickie rolls up the killer queen but Earl reverses the decision leading Madison Rayne and Gail Kim to pick up the victory.

My Opinion:  Whenever Gail Kim and Tara are in the ring together, I can easily say I’m entertained. These two work together like they have so much chemistry and they can work with anybody and make them look good. Still not a fan of Mickie but I must say she did pretty well in this match, probably because she didn’t actually try to hit her finisher. The thing I like with Knockout’s tag matches is that ALL the women get time and it’s pretty lengthy. I personally really liked the ending of this bout. It was confusing at first but I definately find it unique and it’s something that hasn’t been tried before so I’m a fan. Even though I enjoyed this match, I’m still wanting a build-up for Tessmacher’s championship, and I want to see her actually on so hopefully this leads to something next week. P.S. Note to Lee South, can other Knockouts OTHER THAN Mickie get an entrance digital. K thanx.
